The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a direction to the Collector, Jehanabad to pass order in accordance with law on the petition of the petitioner for settlement of the Gairmazaruwa land of Khata No.119, Plot No.212, Area 20 decimals.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ex-army man. There was a small piece of land falling vacant and there is a provision for settlement of Gairmazaruwa land in favour of an ex-army man. The petitioner filed an application for settlement of the land. The concerned authority reported the matter favourably for settlement of the land but the

Mr. Raj Kishore Roy- GP-18, learned counsel for the State submits that the matter can be disposed of with a direction to the Collector to pass order in accordance with law on the petition of the petitioner.

Having considered the submission and on perusal of the record, this Court directs the Collector, Jehanabad to pass an order on the petition of the petitioner for settlement of the land with respect to Khata No.119, Plot No.212, Area 20 decimals in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.
