For the Petitioner/s :

Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh For the Respondent/s :

Ms. Kumari Amrita-GP 3 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 14-03-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and learned counsel appearing for the Bihar State Bar Council, Mr. Shantanu Kumar.

The present writ application has been filed seeking a direction upon the authorities to restore/revalidate the post of elected body of District Bar Association, Patna on their respective post who were elected in election which was held on 27.05.2016 after quashing the order dated 28.05.2017 passed by the Chairman, Bihar State Bar Council in Election Petition Case No. 04 of 2016.

Patna High Court CWJC No.11101 of 2017(2) dt.14-03-2023 3/3 The learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that the relief claimed for in the present writ application now cannot be granted for the reason that the tenure of the elected members of the association was two years which came to an end in the year 2018, but then the learned counsel submits that from 2018 till date fresh elections have not been held and ad-hoc body is continuing.

The learned counsel appearing for the Bihar State Bar Council submits that steps are being taken for notifying the election of the association of the District Bar Association, Patna in accordance with law.

The learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, seeks permission to withdraw the writ application. Permission is accorded.
