The petitioner is in custody in a case registered for offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is a case of recovery of 459 liters of Nepali liquor near the Indrawa river-bed hidden beneath the sand. It is submitted that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case and no recovery has been made from the conscious possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 16.11.2022.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6484 of 2023(2) dt.27-02-2023 2/2 bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Piprahi P.S. Case No. 237 of 2022 to the satisfaction of the Exclusive Special Judge, Excise, Sheohar.
