JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 29-04-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). Issuance of a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to issue duplicate Arms Licence/fresh licence in favour of petitioner taking into consideration that petitioner's Arms licence has been lost during travelling from his village to Sasaram.

(ii). Issuance of a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to renewal of licence from year 2020 to till date which has been not made by the concerned official.

(iii). Issuance of a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1803 of 2024(2) dt.29-04-2024 2/2 order to the representation made by the petitioner on 24.05.2023 regarding the issuance of 2nd copy of Arms Licence."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Respondent No. 2, i.e. the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate application is filed in the requisite format before the Respondent No. 2, within a period of two weeks from today, the Respondent No. 2 shall take appropriate action thereon, forthwith. 4.
