JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 01-07-2019 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage he is looking for a direction to the Deputy Chief Engineer (North Bihar Circle), Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, Patna in the light of the correspondences dated 09.08.2018 and 21.12.2018 written by the Senior Project Engineer as contained in Annexure '6' & '7' to the writ application.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide Annexure '8' some other contractors have been given 24 months time to complete the work.

Learned counsel submits that by these two letters,

Patna High Court CWJC No.2371 of 2019(2) dt.01-07-2019 2/2 request has been made to the Deputy Chief Engineer to extend the contract period from 18 months to 24 months, and it is in the interest of work that these two letters are duly considered and an appropriate decision be taken thereon.

In the given facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merit of the contentions, this court directs the Deputy Chief Engineer, (North Bihar Circle and Work Circle No. 02 of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited, to look into the letter as contained in Annexure '6' & '7' to the writ application and take an appropriate decision thereon within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
