Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 341, 323, 307, 385, 147, 148, 149, 379 of the I.P.C.

On the alleged date and time of incident, when the informant was returning to his village from school duty, meanwhile on the way, this petitioner along with other coaccused persons armed with iron rods and sticks came in front of his motor cycle and started demanding 50 thousand rupees as extortion. Before the informant could say anything, petitioner and other co-accused persons assaulted him on his head, due to which he sustained grievous injury.

Petitioner claims clean antecedent. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and stated that doctor has found injury grievous in nature.
