The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Narpatganj P. S. Case No. 424 of 2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 376, 417, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act, 2012.

The petitioner is alleged to have ravished the victim girl repeatedly on the assurance of marriage and providing her with an opportunity of singing on a

Though, many grounds have been urged on behalf of the petitioner in his defence but the fact remains that the accusation levelled in the FIR has been supported by the victim girl in her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C.

The petitioner is stated to be one of the neighbours of the uncle of the victim in whose house, she had shifted after the demise of her parents. Regard being had to the nature of accusation, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The prayer is rejected.
