The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Dehri Nagar P. S. Case No. 195 of 2018 dated 01.03.2018 instituted for the offences under Sections 176, 177, 419, 467 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is alleged to have obtained a character certificate on fake / incorrect address to hide his criminal antecedents and by virtue of the aforesaid character certificate, he was able to grab a sand ghat settlement in his name.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.6144 of 2019(2) dt.04-02-2019 2/3 Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the case in which the petitioner was earlier made accused was lodged at his village home in which he has been acquitted.

There was no intention, it has been urged, of obtaining a character certificate on a wrong address. Apart from this, it has been submitted that the benefits of the settlement of the Narsirganj sand ghat could not be reaped by the petitioner as the entire process has been stayed because of litigation.

Considering the aforesaid facts as also the nature of accusation against the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Dehri District - Rohtas in connection with Dehri Nagar P. S. Case No. 195 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid
