The petitioner seeks bail in S.T. No.238/2014 arising out of Pipra P.S. Case No. 40 of 2013 registered under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.

The victim alleged that while she was returning to her house the petitioner intercepted her and forcibly committed rape.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on the next day the victim was examined by the doctor and the doctor did not find any external or internal injury. The victim also alleged that she was assaulted but no injury was found. The petitioner is in jail for more than a year. The same is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the same within nine months from the date of receipt of this order.
