Petitioner apprehends his arrest in Maranchi P.S. Case No.54 of 2018, registered under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant, an employee of a courier company, alleged that while he was going to deliver the articles to one Vinay Singh, the informant called on his Mobile No.8873151034 who asked him to come near football field. The accused persons surrounded the informant, snatched his all the articles including mobile.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. Name of the petitioner figured in the confessional statement of Amit Kumar. Amit

No.8111 of 2019(2) dt.13-02-2019 2/2 Kumar has already been granted regular bail but it appears from perusal of the order of the learned Sessions Judge that during the course of investigation, materials have been collected to show the involvement of the petitioner and other accused persons. It is a case road dacoity in which an employee of a courier company was looted in a broad day light. The informant claimed to identify the accused. The Investigating Officer has to trace out the owner of Mobile No. 8873151034 from which the call was made to the informant asking him to come near the football field.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
