JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER2020 20-02-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner is aggrieved by indecisiveness on the part of the respondents in the matter of claim for compassionate appointment.

The father of the petitioner died in harness on 6.11.2016. Thereafter the petitioner approached the respondents for compassionate appointment. The matter was examined by the District Compassionate Appointment Committee and

Patna High Court CWJC No.2958 of 2020(2) dt.20-02-2020 2/2 thereafter the issue of compassionate appointment of the petitioner is pending.

Considering the object behind compassionate appointment as a social security measure and to provide immediate relief to the family of the bread earner, died in harness, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the Regional Deputy Director of Education, Patna Division to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
