For the Opposite Party : Mr. Ram Sumiran Rai(App) ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORAL ORDER 14-01-2015 The wife of the petitioner herein submitted a complaint for the offence under Section 498A of I.P.C. alleging that he demanded a motorcycle from her parents. The case was registered and the petitioner was arrested on 5.7.2014. B.P. No.601/14/CIS No.603/14 filed by him in the court of 1st Additional Sessions Judge, Purnea was dismissed on 27.8.2014. Hence, this application. Heard Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Shri Ram Sumiran Rai, A.P.P., for the State.

Only allegation against the petitioner is that he demanded a motorcycle from the parents of the complainant. Even if that is true, it does not warrant the continued custody of the petitioner for such a long period.
