JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 03-03-2017 The petitioner has sought investigations into the "Toppers Scam 2016" through an independent agency like Central Bureau of Investigation as such scam has jeopardized the career of meritorious students and maligned the education system in the State. In a counter affidavit filed, it has been pointed out that investigations have been completed by the police and that number of steps have been taken including the removal of the chairperson and secretary of the Board from their respective posts and also guidelines have been issued for conducting examinations in a fair and

In view of the counter affidavit filed, we do not find that investigations by any other agency at this stage would be necessary to unearth the scam. Not only the investigations have been completed, even the charge-sheet has been filed before the competent court.
