Petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment. The father of the petitioner died-inharness on 05.01.2015 while he was working on the post of Headmaster. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted application for compassionate appointment and the same is pending at the level of the respondents on account of indecisiveness and ongoing

Patna High Court CWJC No.7179 of 2018(2) dt.04-07-2019 2/2 correspondence of respondent nos. 3 and 7. The idea behind compassionate is to provide social security to tide over the financial crisis occasioned on account of sudden death of the bread earner of the family. The aforesaid object behind the compassionate appointment has been ignored by the respondents. Delay is usually seen in the matter of taking decision for compassionate appointment.

Considering the fact that application for compassionate appointment was made in the year 2015, the Court directs the respondents including respondent no.3 and respondent no.7 to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
