Ambedkar Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital has filed the present writ application with a prayer for a direction to allow the students of the college to submit the examination form for the sessions 2021-2022 to

Patna High Court CWJC No.1593 of 2023(6) dt.08-05-2023 2/3 enable them to participate in BDS examination for which the examination was scheduled from 31.01.2023. During the pendency of the writ application, the examination was held as per schedule and now the prayer of the petitioner is that a special examination should be conducted by the University for the students of the college in question.

2. Mr. Siddhartha Prasad, learned counsel appearing for the University submits that the Dental Council of India has granted permission to admit students for BDS Course for academic session 2021 onward. It has been informed by the parties that courses of study of first year of the BDS Course of the student starting from 2021-2022 has already been completed. Learned counsel for the University under instruction submits that University is ready to take examination of the students studying in the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital subject to submission of exam form and fee.

3. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner/College submits that the examination form and fee of the students for the session 2021-2022 shall be furnished to the University within fifteen days.

4. Learned senior counsel appearing for Dental

Patna High Court CWJC No.1593 of 2023(6) dt.08-05-2023 3/3 Council of India submits that the University may take steps for conducting examination from College which has all the facilities including practical equipment etc.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for Dental Council of India as well as that of University, the present writ application is disposed of with a direction to the University to fix the date of special examination for the students studying in the petitioner's-College as early as possible after submission of application form and fee by the college concerned.
