1. The petitioner has approached this Court for direction to the respondents to make correction in date of birth based on which his services as a Home-Guard have come to an end on 31.12.2022.

2. Learned counsel for the State relies upon the order dated 05.01.2023 (Annexure-B). The specific averment in the counter-affidavit in support of this order is that in response to a petition filed by the petitioner, in the office of Commandant, inquiring his date of birth, the Commandant, Home-Guard, Madhubani has issued the letter dated 05.01.2023 to the petitioner wherein they have relied upon the age (21 years)

Patna High Court CWJC No.1957 of 2023(2) dt.03-07-2023 2/2 entered by the petitioner in a nominal register, at the time of his enrolment in the year 1984.

3. The communication has not been denied or disputed by the petitioner. In view thereof, no case is made out for issuing any direction for granting any extension to the petitioner or correcting his date of birth, ignoring the age entered by the petitioner himself at the time of his enrolment in the year 1984.

4. Writ petition is dismissed.
