Mr.Nawal Kishore Prasad, APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ADITYA KUMAR TRIVEDI ORAL ORDER 16-06-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned APP through video conferencing.

The deceased who had been married to the petitioner in the year 2013 and was being tortured frequently for procurement of demand of dowry, was done to death regarding which, an information was received at the end of the informant, father through Mobile No. 9572238498. The cause of death as per postmortem report is asphyxia due to strangulation. Needless to say, strangulation always happens to be on account of exertion of external force.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that it is a case of suicide. Petitioner happens to be under custody since 25.06.2019. So, petitioner be allowed bail. Learned APP opposed the same.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8504 of 2020(4) dt.16-06-2020 2/2 Apart from the aforesaid eventuality as discussed hereinabove, from the order impugned, it is evident that charge has already been framed and uptill 17.12.2019, two witnesses have already been examined.

Consequent thereupon, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, the learned lower court is directed to proceed with the trial expeditiously.
