The petitioner seeks bail in connection with S.C. No. 605 of 2014 arising out of Bariyarpur P.S. Case No. 31 of 2014 registered under Sections 25(1-A)(a), 25(1-B)a, 25(1-C) a, 26 (i)(ii)(iii) and 35 of the Arms Act.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 10.10.2014 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 33175 of 2014.
It is contended that though the petitioner is in custody since 07.03.2014, no witness has been examined so far.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40542 of 2015 (2) dt.26-08-2015 2 / 2 Be that as it may, regard being had to the reasons assigned in the aforesaid order dated 10.10.2014, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
However, the court below is directed to expedite the trial of the case as early as possible, preferably within a period of seven months from today failing which the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail.
