The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 987 of 2019 arising out of Dhanarua P.S. Case No.

341 of 2018, dated 25.09.2018, instituted for the offences under Sections 304(B) and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that despite his being confined in custody since 22.02.2019, the charges in this case have also not been framed as yet. The petitioner is the husband of the deceased. Be that as it may, notwithstanding the allegation against the petitioner, a trial cannot be kept pending for such a long time. This Court though rejects the application for grant of bail, but directs that in case there is no sufficient progress in the trial in six months, to be counted from today, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court again for grant of bail. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is, accordingly, rejected with the afore-noted observation.

The application stands dismissed.
