2. Petitioner seeks regular bail who is in custody since 18.10.2024 in connection with Rampurhari P.S. Case No. 54 of 2024, FIR dated 08.03.2024, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 304(B) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant's daughter was married with the co-accused Saukat Ali on 06.07.2017. It has been alleged that the petitioner along with other accused persons demanded dowry and due to non-fulfillment of the demand, they killed the informant's daughter by hanging.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased aged about 80 years. He further submits that the mother of the deceased and co-accused has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court in Criminal Misc. No.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6950 of 2025(2) dt.07-02-2025 2/2 78982 of 2024 and the allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus in nature. The petitioner is in custody since 18.10.2024.
5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Having regard to the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the fact that mother-inlaw of the deceased has been granted bail on the ground of her advance age and the petitioner is also aged about 80 years, I am inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of anticipatory bail.
7. This application is, accordingly, allowed.
8. Let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within four weeks, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M.-IX, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Rampurhari Police Station Case No. 54 of 2024, subject to the condition laid down under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita.
