This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Pupri P.S. Case No. 74 of 2016, disclosing offences under Sections-272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section-47(A) of the Bihar Excise Amendment Act, 2016.

From the General Store belonging to the petitioner, considerable quantity of foreign liquor was recovered by police officials. The said raid was conducted on 02.05.2016. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that Prahalad General Store where the raid was conducted does not belong to the petitioner.

Be that as it may, in the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to

If the petitioner appears before the Court below within four weeks from today and seeks regular bail, the same shall be considered on its own merits, without being prejudiced by rejection of the present anticipatory bail application.
