The petitioner seeks bail in Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 167 of 2021, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is a case of dowry death. Petitioner happens to be father-in-law of the deceased.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that thrust of accusation is against husband of the deceased who is already in custody. Petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and he is separate in mess and property. There is general and omnibus allegation and no specific overt act has been raised against this petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 06.06.2021 having no criminal antecedent. Investigation is complete. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7465 of 2022(2) dt.07-04-2022 2/2 and the fact that petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and there is general and omnibus allegation, the petitioner abovenamed, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nalanda at Biharsharif in connection with Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 167 of 2021.
