The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per allegations in the F.I.R., the petitioner who was temporarily working on the cash counter cheated the power distribution company of a sum of Rs.10,700/.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the allegations as levelled in the F.I.R. are false and concocted. The occurrence is alleged to have taken place on 6.1.2018, however, it was only after his superannuation on 30.4.2018 that the instant F.I.R. was registered on 8.5.2018. The petitioner is in custody since 28.10.2018 for more than 2 years 9

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case including the period in custody, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Lakhnour (R.S.O.P.) P.S. Case no.69 of 2018 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate 1st , Jhanjharpur, District Madhubani.
