ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 27-11-2025 Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to avail the alternative remedy as available under Section 15 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 by filing an appeal before the appropriate authority, i.e., the District Registrar-cumDistrict Magistrate, Vaishali.
2. Having regard to the same, the present writ petition
Patna High Court CWJC No.2146 of 2025(4) dt.27-11-2025 2/2 is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternative remedy of filing a statutory appeal under Section 15 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 before the District Registrar-cum-the District Magistrate, Vaishali. On filing of the said appeal, the authority shall entertain the same and pass necessary orders strictly in accordance with law. The authority before passing any order shall grant him an opportunity of hearing. The authority shall endeavor to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within 2 months from the date of filing of appeal.
3. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid liberty.
