JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 11-02-2019 It is the petitioner's grievance that though his land has been acquired by the State Government for the purpose of irrigation, he has not been paid his compensation amount. In support of claim of his possession over the land in question, he is relying on a land possession certificate, issued by the Circle Officer, Babubarhi, Madhubani. The petitioner appears to have approached the authorities including the Legal Services Authority, Madhubani, for redressal of his grievance. The matter is, however, still pending. Patna High Court CWJC No.2474 of 2019(2) dt.11-02-2019 2/2 been advised by the District Land Acquisition Officer, Madhubani, has advised the petitioner to approach the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Darbhanga.

If it is the petitioner's case that the petitioner has not been paid any amount consequent upon acquisition of his land, in my view, he has remedy under Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re-settlement Act, 2013.

The petitioner is granted liberty to avail the said remedy or any other remedy, which he may be having for redressal of his grievance.

This application stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
