JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 12-07-2023 Heard Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, Mr. Akash Chaturvedi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State and Mr. Prashant Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Accountant General.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner informs this Court that retiral dues has been paid to the petitioner.

Patna High Court CWJC No.2333 of 2023 dt.12-07-2023 2/2 However, interest at the applicable rate for the financial years 2002-2003 till 2021-2022 has not been paid to the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner has filed a detail representation for granting him interest at the applicable rate on the contribution made in his account. It is submitted that representation of the petitioner has not been disposed till date.

4. The District Magistrate, Banka is directed to made calculation for the aforesaid financial year at the applicable rate of interest without taking any technical plea and redress the grievance of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of the representation in accordance with law.

5. With the above observation and direction the writ petition stands disposed of.
