The petitioner seeks bail in a case under Sections 498A/379/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 / 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner is the husband and he is alleged to have subjected his wife to different sorts of torture immediately after marriage on 10.02.2015. It is submitted that the grand-mother of the petitioner also supported the allegation of the informant. Learned counsel for the informant, however, opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegation made against the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is in jail since 29.07.2015, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42530 of 2015 (2) dt.16-09-2015 2/2 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri Sushant Ranjan, J.M. 1st Class, Patna in Patliputra P.S. Case No. 249/2015.
