JUSTICE NAVANITI PRASAD SINGH ORAL ORDER 21-01-2015 The petitioner is the father of the victim girl whose dead body was found. The F.I.R. was lodged by the village Chaukidar suspecting that being the father he was not agreeable to the marriage of his daughter to a particular boy and, therefore, the petitioner might have killed his daughter.
On behalf of the petitioner, it is submitted that the petitioner is over 70 years of age and because of village politics he had abandoned his house and gone to Kashmir. He was not present in the village when the dead body of his daughter was found. His wife i.e. the mother of the victim girl has already been granted anticipatory bail by the learned District Judge.
