2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the writ petition, the State has taken stand that a fresh land acquisition proceeding has been started under Land Acquisition Act, 2013 and all steps including disbursement of compensation amount shall be completed within 6 to 7 months since the acceptance has come from the State.

3. Hence, this Court is of the view that there is no need to continue this case further, therefore, this writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the Collector, Sitamarhi

Patna High Court CWJC No.5284 of 2018(5) dt.05-09-2023 2/2 that he shall complete the land acquisition process including the disbursement of compensation amount in favour of the petitioner within 8 months.

4. It is made clear that in case, the disbursement of compensation amount shall not be paid to the petitioner within the said period then, the State shall pay interest applicable in the Bank till date of disbursement of compensation amount in the bank account of the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ application is hereby disposed of.
