Petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 147, 149, 341, 323, 325, 307, 327, 379, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code. As per the prosecution case, all the 11 FIR named accused persons including these petitioners assaulted the informant, his father and uncle causing them injuries. Accused persons also demanded ransom of Rs. 5 lacs.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the specific allegation of assault and demand of ransom is against other co-accused persons and no overt act has been alleged

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7418 of 2023(2) dt.18-04-2023 2/2 against these petitioners. There is no injury report on the record. Petitioners are ladies.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioners, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Chanpatiya P.S. Case No. 158 of 2022 , subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
