Petitioner apprehend their arrest in connection with Supaul P.S. Case No.331 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 341, 353, 337,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10679 of 2023(2) dt.10-05-2023 2/3 307, 431 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, 16 named persons including these petitioners, and 50-60 unknown person are alleged to have disrupted the traffic on Supaul-Bhapatiyahi main road for about 4 hours in protest of death of one student of their locality in road accident. It is further alleged that when they were asked to clear the traffic, some of them attacked on police party and caused hurdle in discharge of their official duty. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in the present case. Petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. It is further submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners and no specific overt act is alleged against them.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, let petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.
