The petitioner being the father of the husband of the victim is languishing in custody since 18.06.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 201/34 and 304B of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation is of killing the granddaughter of the informant after four years of marriage for non-fulfillment of dowry demand. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the accusation is not specific against the petitioner and the informant has subsequently retracted from his initial version and filed a petition to that effect before the learned court below. Though the same has not been brought on record.

No.40907 of 2014 (3) dt.22-01-2015 2 / 2 Considering the fact that the accusation is not against the petitioner, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M., Benipur, Darbhanga in connection with Bahera P.S. Case No. 250 of 2014.
