JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 08-12-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

The grievance of the petitioner in the instant writ application is for payment of arrears of salary. Counsel for the University submits that the entire administration of the University has been paralyzed on account of strike of ministerial staff of the University. Considering the nature of grievance of the petitioner i.e. payment of difference of salary from January, 2013 to

Patna High Court CWJC No.17955 of 2017 (2) dt.08-12-2017 2/2 February, 2016, the petitioner is directed to file a detailed representation before the Vice-Chancellor of the University within a period one month from the date of restoration of normalcy in the University i.e. after strike is called off. In case, such representation is filed before respondent no.5, Vice-Chancellor, Magadh University, within the aforesaid period, the Vice-Chancellor will look into the grievance of the petitioner and examine the record and thereafter pass reasoned speaking order and also ensure payment of arrears of salary to the petitioner if admissible within the period of 60 days from the date of filing of such representation.

It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on the claim of the petitioner for payment of arrears of salary.
