JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL ORDER 02-09-2016 Heard Mr. Suryakant Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Kumar Priya Ranjan, learned counsel appearing for the South Bihar Power Distribution Company and its officials. With the consent of the parties the matter has been taken up for disposal at the present stage itself. The writ petition is filed seeking direction to the authorities of the respondent company to correct the bill which has been raised against the petitioner to the tune of Rs. 4,27,555.90/-, a copy of which is present at Annexure-1. The petitioner has also questioned a subsequent letter dated 30.6.2016 whereudner the

Patna High Court CWJC No.11188 of 2016 (3) dt.02-09-2016 demand has been raised to Rs. 68,558/- which is inclusive of interest. The matter having been considered at the level of the respondent company that a counter affidavit has been filed on 26.8.2016 and paragraph-7 of the counter affidavit reflects that the respondent company in consideration of the grievance of the petitioner has revised the bill to quantify the dues at Rs. 68,558/-. The petitioner is required to make that payment by 06.09.2016. In the circumstances so discussed, in my opinion, the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and he should take steps for making payment of the dues so quantified within the period stipulated and it goes without saying that no sooner the bill is paid that the electrical connection of the petitioner which stands disconnected, should be restored within 24 hours from the payment of the dues.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
