2. The petitioners are major and they have married with each other. Initially the marriage was accepted by the family members. However, subsequently, the family members of petitioner

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.2599 of 2017 dt.11-12-2017 P2/ No.1, Baby Ambika, started putting threat on mobile calls on the personal life and liberty of the petitioners. Therefore, the petitioners have invoked the writ jurisdiction of this Court for necessary direction to the respondent authorities to give proper protection, for which they are entitled under Articles 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India.

3. Learned counsel for the State-respondent submits that no such prayer was made to any police officials. Hence, the respondents have not looked into the matter. The petitioners are at liberty to file representation before respondent No.4, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jamui, where they are at present residing, who shall take appropriate step for protection of the life and liberty of the petitioners at the earliest.
