Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

None appeared on behalf of the informant.

The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Azamnagar P. S. Case No. 224 of 2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 498(A), 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18020 of 2021(5) dt.25-04-2022 2/3 As per allegation, the petitioner was married with the informant. After marriage, the informant was tortured for non-fulfillment of demand of dowry of Rs. 1,00,000/- cash.

For exploring the possibility of amicable resolution of the dispute, the matter was referred to the District Mediation Centre, Katihar and the court below was directed to transmit the report of the District Mediation Centre. The report of District Mediation Centre has been received and available at Flag-X, which shows that the mediation process became successful and the husband and wife became ready to reside together after forgetting all the past differences. They also became ready to file compromise petition.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, let the petitioner, above-named, in the event of her arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18020 of 2021(5) dt.25-04-2022 3/3 learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katihar, in connection with Azamnagar P. S. Case No. 224 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. The application stands allowed, accordingly.

Office shall ensure that all the defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time provided in para 1 hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
