The petitioner is languishing in custody since 27.08.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 8, 13(2) read with 13(1) (d) of Prevention of Corruption Act.

It is alleged that Ram Pravesh Chauhan, the Sub-Registrar demanded Rs.10,000/- for getting the sale deed registered when he was paid Rs.8,000/-. Ram Pravesh Chauhan after receiving Rs.8,000/- as illegal gratification handed over the said money to this petitioner being his domestic help, who kept the amount in the Almirah.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is not a public servant and the thrust of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.40849 of 2014 (03) dt.22-01-2015 2/2 accusation is against Ram Pravesh Chauhan, who has already been granted bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance 1st, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 59 of 2014 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 55 of 2014.
