====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 13-09-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

This writ application has been filed seeking a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Araria (Respondent no. 3) and the SDPO (Respondent No. 4) to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. A grievance has been made against private respondent nos. 6 to 13.

WJC No.221 of 2018(2) dt.13-09-2022 2/2 On perusal of the writ application, it appears that the petitioner has filed representations before the authorities long back in the year 2017 vide Annexure '2' and 2/A through the writ petition. Without going into the merit of the allegations and also without forming any opinion on the allegations made by the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that in case, the petitioner has still any threat to his life and liberty, he may file an appropriate application before the Superintendent of Police, Araria within a period of 30 days from the date of this order. If any such application is filed, the Superintendent of Police, Araria shall consider the same, examine the threat perception of the petitioner and in case it is found that the grievance of the petitioner is genuine, appropriate step shall be taken to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner.

The verification/examination of the grievance of the petitioner shall be completed within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of the application.

This application, thus, stands disposed of.
