This application has been filed for modification of the order, dated 16.06.2020, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 40663 of 2019, whereby the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail in connection with Mehsi P.S. Case No. 440 of 2018 and was directed to surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from the date of the order. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, while praying for extension of time to surrender, submits that the petitioner could not surrender before the learned Court below within the stipulated time granted by this Court as the said order could not be communicated to him in time and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24775 of 2021(2) dt.28-07-2021 2/2 closure of the civil court because of the lock down. Having regard to the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the time granted to the petitioner to surrender before the learned Court below for furnishing bail bond by order, dated 16.06.2020, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 40663 of 2019 is hereby extended by four weeks from today.

This application is allowed with the modification as above.
