2. The petitioners seek regular bail in connection with Imamganj P.S. Case No. 278/2024 registered for the offences under Sections 103 and 3(5) of B.N.S.
3. As per the FIR, the informant-Karuna Kumari has alleged that all the named accused persons including the petitioners have assaulted the mother-in-law of the informant stating her to be a daain. Later the mother-in-law of the informant was found dead on her bed and there was a black mark on her neck.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6963 of 2025(4) dt.16-05-2025 2/3 petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case merely on the ground of suspicion. Learned counsel further submits that there is no eye witness to the alleged occurrence. It is lastly submitted that the petitioners are ladies having clean antecedent and they are in judicial custody since 30.09.2024 and it has also been submitted that petitioner no. 1 namely Sevanti Devi is pregnant.
5. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioners and submits that the mother-inlaw of the informant died in mysterious circumstances and even in the post-mortem report no concrete evidence has come as to what was her cause of death.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and taking into account that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners and also considering the period of custody of the petitioners, let the petitioners above-named be enlarged on bail on each of them furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Sherghati, Gaya in connection with Imamganj P.S. Case No. 278/2024 subject to the conditions :-
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.6963 of 2025(4) dt.16-05-2025 3/3 a. One of the bailors of the petitioners shall be their close relative.
b. The petitioners shall remain physically present in Court on each date of the trial.
c. In case of absence on two consecutive dates or in violation of the terms of the bail, the bail bond of the petitioners will be liable to the cancelled by the court concerned.
d. The Court below shall verify the criminal antecedent of the petitioners and in case at any stage it is found that the petitioners have concealed their criminal antecedent, the court below shall take step for cancellation of bail bond of the petitioners. However, the acceptance of bail bonds in terms of the aforementioned order shall not be delayed for purpose of or in the name of verification.
