=========================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE and HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE S. KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 23-03-2018 In the matter of a prayer made by the petitioner for quashing the departmental enquiry initiated against him on the ground of delay the learned Writ Court has dismissed the writ petition with a direction that the enquiry be completed within a stipulated period.

Even though the learned counsel for the appellant tried to indicate

Patna High Court LPA No.1868 of 2017 dt.23-03-2018 2/2 that after issuance of the charge-sheet in the year 2007 the enquiry was started in the year 2016, but on such consideration we are not inclined to interfere into the matter for the simple reason that the material available on record indicates that there were reasons for delay and at this stage merely on the ground of delay the enquiry cannot be quashed.

Accordingly, the appeal stands dismissed.
