These two petitioners seek bail in a criminal prosecution registered under Sections 395 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code. Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioners are named in the F.I.R. and they are alleged to have committed offence of dacoity on a highway after causing injury to the informant and other persons, this Court is not inclined to accede to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners for grant of bail. Their prayer for bail in connection with Karpi P.S. Case No. 114 of 2014, pending in the court of learned C.J.M., Jehanabad, is rejected for the present.
Since the petitioners are said to be in judicial custody since 12.06.2014, therefore, learned C.J.M., Jehanabad is directed to commit the case of the petitioners to the court of Sessions. On such commitment, the learned trial court shall take up the trial of the petitioners on priority basis and endeavour shall be made to conclude the same at an early date preferably within a period of nine months from the date of such commitment.
