Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offences punishable under Sections 341/323/307/385/387/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner of demand of ransom on mobile call as well as of causing fire-arm injury to the son of the informant on nonfulfillment of the demand coupled with criminal antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge him on bail in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18525 of 2021(3) dt.21-10-2021 2/2 connection with Chanpatia P.S. Case No.296 of 2020. Hence, prayer for bail is refused. The trial-court is directed to expedite the trial.
