1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the EOU.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The Court is not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner for the reason that the allegation is with respect to committing cyber fraud. The offence has become a menace for the society and the name of the petitioner transpired in the confessional statement of Rahul Kumar who was apprehended and disclosed that he along with his associates used to get fake sim cards and open false account
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8662 of 2025(4) dt.02-07-2025 2/2 for committing cyber fraud. Further, for the said purpose, services of the Blue Dart Courier Company were being utilized. It was Blue Dart Courier Company that informed the police when they became suspicious with regard to the parcels which were being demanded by the accused to be delivered in a place outside their establishment when Rahul Kumar came to be arrested. The investigation is in its nascent stages and in the event if privilege of anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioner, the petitioner may abscond, as such, the anticipatory bail application is rejected in connection with Economic Offence P.S. Case No. 07 of 2024 pending in the Court of learned A.C.J.M.-I, Patna Sadar, Patna/Successor Court. (Satyavrat Verma, J) Kundan/- U T
