2. The petitioner superannuated from the post of Dafadar Circle No.-3, Police Station Dhamdaha, Purnia on 31.07.2022, approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondents to ensure payment of all the retiral benefits and other admissible amount.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent nos. 3 & 5. It is categorically averred that the admissible retiral benefit, including gratuity to the tune of Rs. 8,82,545/-, leave encashment amounting to Rs. 5,43,720/- and group insurance amounting to Rs. 72,902/- have been paid to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3566 of 2024(2) dt.30-01-2025 2/2 petitioner. In support of the aforesaid contention, letters showing sanction for the said amount have been placed on record.

4. Learned Advocate for the petitioner contended that though the retiral benefits, as noted hereinabove, has been paid to the petitioner, but there is no whisper with regard to the payment of pension.

5. Considering the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties and taking note of the averments made in the counter affidavit, this Court deems it apt and proper to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Purnia to take all the necessary action for payment of pension to the petitioner, preferably within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. Suffice it to observe that if necessary papers shall be sent to the office of the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna, he shall be obliged to issue the authorization letter to the earliest, in favour of the petitioner.

7. The writ petition stands disposed off.
