16-02-2018 Learned counsel for the petitioner informs this Court that during pendency of this writ application the arms license of the petitioner has been placed under suspension and a proceeding for cancellation of license has already been initiated against him. Prayer in the writ application is for release of the licensed pistol of the petitioner which is said to have been illegally retained by the respondents.

In view of the information furnished to the court that the arms license has already been placed under suspension and a cancellation proceeding has been initiated, this writ application has become infructuous. The petitioner will have a liberty to agitate this

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.1878 of 2017 (5) dt.16-02-2018 matter if and when his arms license is restored in accordance with law.

This writ application is dismissed as it has become infructuous.
