2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's prayer for bail was earlier rejected vide order dated 20.02.2024 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No.9517 of 2024, with liberty granted to renew the prayer for bail after nine months.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that charges have already been framed in the present case on 13.03.2024; however, no prosecution witness has been examined since then. It is also submitted that the petitioner is the father of a three-year-old female child, and there is no one available to look after her in his absence. Therefore, while

4. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that on the earlier occasion, a report regarding the present stage of the trial and the expected time frame for its conclusion was called for.

5. Upon perusal of the report, it appears that there are a total of six charge-sheeted witnesses in the Sessions Trial; however, not a single witness has been produced by the prosecution so far. The report further indicates that the trial is likely to conclude within approximately one year.

6. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 163 of 2024 (arising out of Majorganj P.S. Case No 77 of 2022), pending before the Court of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-VIII, Sitamarhi, is hereby rejected.

7. Speedy trial is a constitutional mandate and an integral facet of justice. Accordingly, the Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps to ensure that the trial is concluded within a period of three months. The Sr. Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi, is directed to

No.7224 of 2025(3) dt.02-05-2025 3/3 instruct the concerned Station House Officer/Investigating Officer of the case to take all requisite steps to secure the attendance and examination of all remaining charge-sheet witnesses in connection with the aforesaid case within the stipulated period.

8. The Registry is directed to communicate a copy of this order to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Sitamarhi, and the Sr. Superintendent of Police/Superintendent of Police, Sitamarhi, through Email/WhatsApp/Fax or any other suitable mode of communication forthwith.

9. The Registry is further directed to hand over a copy of this order to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for communication to the Sr.
