2. Having heard the matter for some time, learned counsel for the University submitted that as per his up-to-date instructions, arrears of salary amounting to Rs.4,54,288/- and D.D.A. Rs.133/- totalling Rs. 4,54,421/- has been approved today. Learned counsel clarified that in the past, an amount of Rs. 17,253/- has

Patna High Court CWJC No.4379 of 2017 dt.16-03-2018 2/2 already been paid. He assures the Court that the cheque would be given to the petitioner for the aforesaid amount within one week.

3. In view thereof, the Court finds that the writ petition has served its purpose and accordingly the same stands disposed off. However, if the petitioner still feels that there may be dues which have not been paid, he shall be at liberty to file a representation before the Registrar of the University. If such representation is filed within four weeks from today before the Registrar of the University, he shall consider the same, in accordance with law, and upon verification from the records, pass a reasoned order within three weeks from the date of filing of such representation. If it transpires that any further amount is payable to the petitioner, the same shall also be paid to him within the next three weeks.

4. It goes without saying that the amounts payable to the petitioner shall carry statutory interest.
