Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under sections 323, 504 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is that petitioner and others kidnapped the informant and Dhirendra Sah and confined them in custody and demanded extortion and after some time they were let out.

It is submitted that similarly situated co-accused Bhagwat Singh and Navin Kumar Mahto have already been enlarged on bail. Case of the petitioner stands on the same footing. Petitioner is in jail since 05.12.2013. Petitioner has already remained in jail for more than one year and nine months.
