JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 06-02-2020 Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Farbeshganj P.S. Case No. 457 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation against the petitioner is of demand of Rs.1 crore from one businessman and also threatening him by different mobiles.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he has not been named in F.I.R., later on, in other cases he was arrested remanded in this case and except confession there is nothing against him, he is in custody since 03.07.2019. Heard learned A.P.P. who has opposed the prayer for bail on the ground that there is allegation of demand of rangdari and the impugned order shows that after examining the C.D.R of the mobile, it is clear that the mobile is used by the petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.7046 of 2020(2) dt.06-02-2020 2/2 and other accused persons for demand of extortion from the businessman. Apart from that petitioner is accused in 9 other cases also.

Having heard both sides, in view of the submissions, made above, as well as the antecedent, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
